La baixada de la cucafera suscita molta expectació per part de ciutadans, independentment del sexe i de l’edat. L’objectiu comú és passar-s’ho bé. És el segon any que aquesta bèstia és la protagonista de la vetllada i sembla ser, pel nombre d’assistents, que ha arribat per quedar-s’hi.
La llegenda diu que una princesa va aconseguir amansar la bèstia i que des de llavors en comptes de treure foc per la boca treu caramels. Aquesta princesa, pujada a lloms de la bèstia, va ser l’encarregada de liderar ahir la baixada de la Cucafera. Ambdues van anar sempre acompanyades per la Txaranga Tocabemolls i per una gran multitud de gent.
